Supporting Tennessee’s Music Industry
The Tennessee Entertainment Commission (TEC) works to strengthen and grow Tennessee’s entertainment and creative industries, including the music ecosystem that has helped make Tennessee known around the world.
TEC supports the people, businesses, and communities that make live music possible—from musicians, songwriters, producers, and industry professionals to venues, festivals, studios, and other music-related businesses. Its work connects Tennessee’s music industry with economic development resources, industry research, business opportunities, and programs designed to help the creative economy grow.
Through initiatives such as the Tennessee Music Directory and regional Music Ecosystem Studies, TEC is also helping communities better understand their local music economies, identify opportunities and challenges, and build stronger environments where musicians, venues, and music businesses can thrive.
